Mechanical Engineer Site Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s team, one of the largest construction companies in the field of mechanical installations.
The successful candidate will play an active role in managing technical and operational aspects related to the installation of HVAC systems, water supply, drainage, firefighting systems, and BMS systems in building projects.
The position requires hands-on site experience, excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, and the ability to coordinate effectively between teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervision and management of mechanical works on construction sites (HVAC, water supply, drainage, firefighting, BMS).
– Supervision of the installation of air conditioning systems (VRV/VRF), heating systems (boilers, heat pumps, underfloor heating), and plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, and fire-fighting systems).
Ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with:
-The approved design and execution drawings
-The technical specifications
-Health and Safety regulations and standards
-Resolving technical issues that arise on site
-Performing quality control of works and materials
Organization and management of work crews
– coordination of technicians and work teams (HVAC technicians, plumbers,
welders)
– Allocation of tasks and monitoring of work progress
– Control of working hours, productivity, and attendance
– Training and guidance of junior technicians when required
Project Management
-Monitoring the project schedule and ensuring deadlines are met
Collaboration with:
-Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (M&E) and supervising engineers
-Contractors and other trades (electricians, civil/construction crews)
-Reporting progress and any issues to the project’s responsible Mechanical
Engineer
-Participation in testing, commissioning, adjustments, and handover of
installations
-Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.
Materials and Equipment
– Inspection of received materials (piping, machinery, and components)
– Ensuring proper storage and correct usage of materials
– Recording shortages and identifying the need for new orders
Health and Safety
-Implementation of occupational health and safety regulations – ISO 45001
-Monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (helmets, gloves,
safety shoes, and safety harnesses)
-Accident prevention and reporting of hazardous situations
Requirements:
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
-Minimum 3 years of experience in construction sites and mechanical installation projects.
-Experience in project coordination and collaboration with multidisciplinary technical teams.
-Good knowledge of applicable standards and regulations (ASHRAE, EN, ISO, local regulations).
-Very good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel). Experience in AutoCAD and Revit will be considered an advantage.
-Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent command of Greek and very good command of English.
-Membership with ETEK or an equivalent professional body is desirable.
