STOCK CONTROLER

Description

A Stock Controller is responsible for managing inventory levels and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within a company. This includes tasks like monitoring stock levels, placing orders, receiving and storing goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records. They work to optimize stock levels, prevent shortages and overstocking, and ensure that the right products are available when and where they are needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:

Maintaining optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing storage costs.

• Order Management:

Placing purchase orders for new stock, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely receipt of goods.

• Stock Control:

Monitoring stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and implementing solutions to address issues.

• Data Management:

Maintaining accurate records of inventory, stock movements, and related transactions.

• Reporting:

Generating reports on stock levels, inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics.

• Warehouse Operations:

Assisting with the organization and maintenance of the warehouse, including storage and retrieval of goods.

• Supplier Relations:

Communicating with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and any issues related to stock.

• Process Improvement:

Identifying and implementing improvements to stock control processes and procedures.

• Safety and Compliance:

Ensuring that all stock control activities are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company policies

 

 

Qualifications – Skills

• Experience in a warehouse/logistics position
• Ability to manage a team and handle daily planning
• Organizational skills, responsibility, and attention to detail
• Knowledge of inventory handling and warehouse tools (e.g. Picking Requests, Bin Locations)
• Computer literacy and familiarity with shared folder
