PURCHASING MANAGER
(PM 9598L6NI)-NICOSIA
We are looking for a PURCHASING MANAGER to join our client team to Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
As a Purchasing Manager, your role will involve sourcing equipment, goods, and services, as well as managing vendors.
You will be responsible for performing strategic procurement activities across various spend categories, aiming to find better deals and more profitable suppliers.
Your expertise in supplier relationship management and negotiation skills will be crucial in ensuring cost-effective and high-quality procurement.
Additionally, you will analyze market trends, forecast demand, and mitigate risks to optimize the procurement process.
By leveraging your knowledge of supply chain management and your ability to identify opportunities for improvement, you will contribute to the overall success of our client organization’s purchasing operations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
- Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines etc.
- Maintaining a supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Coordination of the inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required standards and specifications.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
- Executing daily purchasing activities.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience as a Purchasing Manager of at least five years.
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Supervisory and management experience.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Remuneration – Benefits:
- 2.500€ – 3.000€ gross salary (based on previous experience)
