Financial Controller

(Accounting & Finance)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accurate recording of all financial transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries within the accounting system.
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly closing processes for the Group companies, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
  • Prepare meaningful financial analyses and management reports, including profit margins, project costing, segmented revenues, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the Group’s financial planning and control activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Monitor and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts to support the Company’s strategic and operational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements while maintaining robust internal controls and governance procedures.
  • Oversee cash flow management, treasury operations, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and working capital.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with senior management by providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support business planning, investment decisions, and long-term growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or financial control roles.
  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to prepare and present financial analyses and management reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance, and ERP/accounting systems (such as Oracle, Easysoft, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • High standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Dynamic personality with a strong team-oriented approach, process-driven mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Remuneration – Benefits:

-€48.000 – €52.000 Annual salary (based on previous experience)
