ELECTRICAL ENGINEER DESIGNER

Our client is one of the leading companies in Cyprus and manufactures production lines for its customers in more than 40 countries worldwide.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and perfecting electrical systems, schematics, and components. You will bridge the gap between initial ideas and physical reality, ensuring all designs are safe, efficient, reliable, and compliant with international engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design: Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans using CAD/ECAD software.
• Technical Calculations: Perform load calculations, short-circuit analyses, voltage drop calculations, and component sizing.
• Product Development: Design power distribution systems, control panels, circuit boards, or lighting systems based on project needs.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs meet relevant regulatory codes, industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC), and safety requirements.
• Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the fabrication of prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate design performance and safety.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and production teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), user manuals, and testing procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot existing designs to optimize performance, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve reliability.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc/BEng) or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience (1+ years) working as an Electrical Engineer, specifically in a design or product development capacity.
• Software Proficiency: knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Altium Designer, or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical theory, power electronics, control systems, and circuit design.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills in English, team spirit, and the ability to manage project deadlines effectively.
