The Brand Manager is responsible for the strategic growth and profitability product lines and categories. This position is accountable for all aspects of brand management including: the development of brand, identifying market trends and category opportunities, conducting market research, providing consumer insights,. The role requires a team player attitude with the ability to work independently and proactively to meet deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recommending strategies to position the brand for growth
- Analysing brands of competitors, consumer trends and shopping behaviours
- Monitoring the performance of a brand through key performance indicators (KPI)
- Achieving profit targets, timelines and budgets
- Organising product launches and promotional events
- Managing Marketing Executives working for the brand
- Maintaining and growing the brand’s affiliations and partnerships
- Maintaining contact with vendors and distributors to get critical input on how product design and implementation can be improved
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Brand Manager
- Familiarity with latest marketing trends and best practices
- Ability to conduct research and analyse data
- Organizational skills, experience meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Results-driven attitude
- A creative mindset
- BSc/BA in Marketing, Communication, Business or related field
Master’s/MBA is a plus
