Biomedical Equipment Technicians

Biomedical Equipment Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment in healthcare facilities. They ensure that devices like patient monitors, ventilators, and imaging machines are functioning safely and effectively, directly impacting patient care and treatment. Also play a crucial role in training staff on proper equipment usage and maintaining records of maintenance and repairs.  Our client is the leading and rapidly expanding company in the while industry in Cyprus. 

Key Responsibilities of a Biomedical Equipment Technician:

• Installation and Maintenance:

Installing, testing, and maintaining various types of medical equipment, including patient monitors, ventilators, and imaging machines.

• Troubleshooting and Repair:

Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning medical equipment, often using specialized tools and software.

• Preventive Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance and calibration checks to ensure equipment is functioning optimally and safely.

• Safety Inspections:

Conducting safety checks and ensuring equipment meets regulatory standards and guidelines.

• Training and Support:

Training healthcare staff on the proper use of medical equipment and providing technical support.

• Documentation:

Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and safety checks.

• Inventory Management:

Managing an inventory of spare parts and tools.

• Staying Updated:

Keeping up with the latest technologies and industry best practices through ongoing education and training.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

An associate’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related field is typically required.

 

• Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using diagnostic software, electronic tools, and interpreting schematics.

• Troubleshooting Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.

• Communication Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train staff and collaborate with other professionals.

Remuneration – Benefits:

• €1.800 – €2.000 monthly gross salary (It depends on the experience)
• 13^th salary
