ACCOUNTANT / ACCOUNTING MANAGER

 (FM 989775NI)-NICOSIA

An Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations, manages accounting staff, ensures accurate financial reporting, and maintains compliance with regulations, handling duties like general ledger, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and providing financial analysis to support strategic decisions, working across private/public sectors. Key responsibilities include leading the team, implementing internal controls, preparing financial statements, managing audits, and collaborating with leadership to improve financial health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff (accountants, bookkeepers, AP/AR), delegating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily activities like general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and create financial forecasts to support business planning.
  • Compliance & Controls: Implement internal controls, ensure adherence to tax laws, and coordinate annual audits.
  • Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and reports to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Establish and refine accounting policies, procedures, and systems for greater efficiency. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) or relevant certification highly preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations,

Remuneration – Benefits:

  • Up to 3.300€ Gross salary (based on previous experience)
  • 13th salaries
  • 21 days of annual leave
  • Work Monday – Friday
