CIVIL ENGINEER – SITE ENGINEER

A Civil Site Engineer acts as the bridge between technical design and on-site physical construction. They oversee day-to-day operations to ensure infrastructure projects are built safely, within budget, and strictly according to approved blueprints and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction Supervision: Oversee daily on-site activities, guiding crews and evaluating the performance of contractors.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications and building codes.
- Site Surveying & Layout: Set out the site, mark boundaries, and ensure architectural designs are accurately translated to the ground.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Resolve unexpected technical difficulties, design conflicts, or material shortages to prevent project delays.
- Safety Enforcement: Enforce strict health and safety protocols to minimize risks to workers and the general public.
- Reporting & Administration: Monitor project progress, manage schedules, and submit routine reports to project managers and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Typically 3 to 5+ years of on-site construction experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural design, blueprint reading, and industry software like AutoCAD or Primavera.
- Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) license or relevant safety certifications are highly preferred depending on the jurisdiction.
