LOGISTICS MANAGER – NICOSIA

LOGISTICS MANAGER

 (LM 9238169NI)- NICOSIA

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing all logistics and supply chain activities related to industrial products. The role ensures the efficient procurement, storage, movement, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished goods while maintaining high service levels, operational efficiency, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Logistics Management

-Oversee the end-to-end logistics operation, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.

-Develop and implement logistics strategies that support production requirements and customer demand.

-Ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and finished products while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

-Coordinate logistics activities to support manufacturing schedules and project deadlines.

-Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce logistics costs.

Warehouse & Inventory Control

-Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.

-Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials, spare parts, and finished products.

-Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shortages, overstocking, and obsolete inventory.

-Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory integrity.

-Optimize warehouse utilization and storage systems for industrial materials and equipment.

Transportation & Distribution

-Plan and manage local and international transportation activities.

-Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers, and customers.

-Optimize transportation routes and delivery schedules to improve efficiency and service levels.

-Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers, distributors, and project sites.

Vendor & Supplier Management

-Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transport providers, and third-party logistics partners.

-Negotiate transportation contracts, freight rates, and service agreements.

-Monitor supplier and logistics partner performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.

-Resolve logistics-related issues and ensure continuous service improvement.

Operational Performance & Reporting

-Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, including:

-On-Time Delivery (OTD)

-On-Time In-Full (OTIF)

-Inventory Accuracy

-Inventory Turnover

-Transportation Costs

-Warehouse Productivity

-Logistics Cost per Unit

-Prepare regular management reports and provide recommendations for operational improvements.

-Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and supply chain functions.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

-Ensure all logistics activities comply with local and international transportation and customs regulations.

-Maintain accurate shipping, inventory, and transportation documentation.

-Support quality assurance procedures related to product handling, storage, and transportation.

Team Leadership

-Lead and supervise warehouse, logistics, and distribution personnel.

-Set performance objectives and provide coaching, training, and development opportunities.

-Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

-Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management within an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment.

-Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation, and supply chain processes.

-Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).

-Excellent analytical, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

-Strong leadership and communication abilities.

-Fluency in English and Greek will be considered an advantage.

-Preferred Experience

-Experience in industrial products, manufacturing, construction materials, engineering equipment, machinery, or technical distribution sectors.

-Knowledge of import/export procedures and international logistics.

-Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Tuesday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
